Jimmy Osmond’s Birthday Message to Merrill

Today as I reflect on my life, I can recall so many times that my big brother Merrill Osmond has stood up for me and stuck his neck out for me, even when it wasn't in his own best interest.

I remember when I was living alone as a teenager in Los Angeles; it was Merrill who flew all the way to Japan to help me get a recording deal. Merrill was the one that showed up on the set of the film I did to make sure I was alright. And, it was Merrill that protected me when our family partnership was splitting up - he made sure my restaurant dream was protected and preserved for me. When I went to Branson, Missouri to open my first theater there, it was Merrill that was on the phone with me supporting me through it all.

Merrill and I haven't always agreed on things, but the best of friends don't always agree. I can honestly say that my life has been so blessed by having this wonderful big brother in my life. I love to see Merrill’s success, and still love working alongside him and our brother Jay.

It's Merrill’s birthday today, but he's the one who keeps on giving these precious life gifts to all of us.

Happy birthday my brother Merrill…I love you very much. - Jimmy Osmond

Message from Jimmy Osmond:

Some Osmond fans who have discovered the Jimmy Osmond Blog might be wondering: what's up with Jimmy Osmond?

Everything is Jimmy Osmond this and Jimmy Osmond that.

Those of you who know me have probably wondered whether I've suddenly started to talk strangely.

But I promise: that's not the case. When I talk, I still sound like myself.

When I blog, though, I want to be sure friends can find me. So I use my full name, Jimmy Osmond, at least a couple of times. That helps the search engines.

And I hope it's okay with everyone. Honestly, Jimmy Osmond hasn't gone crazy. 😀

Jimmy Osmond brings LeAnn Rimes to Andy Williams PAC

I am so excited to be back at my theater, the Andy Williams Performing Arts Center, in Branson, Missouri. Not only does my show, "Moon River and Me Starring Jimmy Osmond" open tonight, but I am excited to have the amazingly talented LeAnn Rimes at the theater tomorrow, Friday, April 29. I met LeAnn years ago in Branson when she was just a little girl, and she's been a supporter of Children's Miracle Network, so it is an honor to have her perform at my theater. If you find yourselves around Branson tomorrow, join me for LeAnn's show - I know it is going to be great.

For tickets, call 800-MOON-094 or order online.

Moon River and Me Starring Jimmy Osmond - Opening Night!

I'm so excited for the opening of my show, "Andy Williams Moon River and Me Starring Jimmy Osmond," tonight at the Andy Williams Performing Arts Center in Branson, Missouri!

One question asked recently was - what is my favorite Andy Williams song?...

I love so many of Andy’s songs, but I’d have to say, the first song that comes to mind as a favorite is "Almost Home," because of the tradition that came from it in my family. When I was little and we were working in Los Angeles, California, we would always sing "Almost Home" together as a family in our car on the way back to Huntsville, Utah. So, I have really happy memories that come from that song.

"Happy Heart" is another Andy Williams song that is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. It was an especially big hit for Andy in the United Kingdom. It just has a happy feel to it – one of those songs that just make you feel good.

Even though "Something Stupid" was a hit for Andy Williams, a lot of people remember the version sung by Frank Sinatra and his daughter, Nancy. Since we worked with Nancy Sinatra when I was young, and because of the recent loss of her brother, I included my version of it with my daughter, Sophia, as a gesture to our friend, Nancy Sinatra. I also thought it would be special to record this song with my beautiful daughter, since I am celebrating my 50th year in entertainment.

So, opening night of "Andy Williams Moon River and Me Starring Jimmy Osmond" tonight, and the "Moon River and Me: A Tribute to Andy Williams" CD now available for pre-order - this is fun!

Jimmy Osmond – today’s new update

Hello everyone,

I arrived in Branson, Missouri last night after a good trip to the United Kingdom and excited to get back to my theater, the Andy Williams Performing Arts Center, to open my show “Moon River and Me Starring Jimmy Osmond” this Thursday, April 28.

We had some bad storms last night, and during the storm, while I was in my apartment at the theater, the power went out. I quickly realized someone had cut the power lines and broken into my apartment. I thankfully managed to scare them off before any other damage was done or anything was taken. I have to thank the Branson Police Department for their quick response to my 911 call, and security has now been heightened for the theater.

If any of you have been trying to get through to the theater box office for tickets, please bear with us while our phone lines are restored. We welcome you to visit the box office for your ticket purchase if you are in town, otherwise, you can also buy tickets online.

Right now, I’m working out the finishing touches for the opening of “Moon River and Me Starring Jimmy Osmond” tomorrow night at the Andy Williams Performing Arts Center. Charlie Green, an amazing singer, and the hysterical Chipper Lowell are back with me. My brother, Jay Osmond, will also make a guest appearance. Come on out and see the show if you can, it will be fun!

Jimmy Osmond and Antiques Road Trip

I really enjoyed being able to drive this DeLorean yesterday! I had one of these in the 80s, so it was so fun to drive one again.

I enjoyed filming with the show, BBC Two's Antiques Road Trip, and it was fun to meet Tony Christie. I've been a big fan of Tony's and discovered he's as great a guy as I thought he would be.

Catherine and Margie were so nice as well, and the crew and I became quick friends. I love to watch Antiques Road Trip and never thought me, Jimmy Osmond, would be on it! I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Will you be cruising with the Osmonds?

Happy Friday everyone! Thanks for being so receptive to Jimmy Osmond's Blog - it has been a lot of fun for me already.

We have all said it - time flies - and it sure is the truth. I can't believe we are only a little more than three months away from The Osmonds Second Annual Fan Appreciation Cruise. Our first fan appreciation cruise was so much fun and we received great feed back from those who cruised with us - so, we just had to do it again. This cruise goes in a completely different direction from our's called The Osmond Brothers Great Alaskan Adventure. Haven't you always wanted to go to Alaska!? ;-)

Here are the details from Paradise Travel...

Osmond Brothers Great Alaskan Adventure
August 27 - September 3, 2016
Join the Osmond Brothers for seven days and nights as we explore Alaska's Inside Passage. One of the things that makes this cruise so special is that it features a nine hour scenic cruise of Glacier Bay. This national park is home to an incredible variety of wildlife and sealife. Only two ships a day are allowed to enter Glacier Bay and we have privilege of being one of those ships. Princess Cruise Lines has partnered with the Discovery Channel, so we will enjoy exclusive insight and commentary during the entire cruise.

You'll also be able to spend quality time with Jimmy, Merrill and Jay and participate in a variety of special VIP activities they'll be hosting especially for you.

We'll be departing Seattle, Washington on the beautiful Crown Princess bound for Juneau, the capital of Alaska; Ketchikan, Alaska's first city; Skagway; Glacier Bay; and Victoria, British Columbia.

Don't miss this opportunity of a lifetime to spend a week's vacation with one of the most popular groups of all time.

So, if you are interested in joining me, Jimmy Osmond, and my brothers, Merrill Osmond and Jay Osmond for our Second Annual Fan Appreciation Cruise - The Osmond Brothers Great Alaskan Adventure, visit Paradise Travel to book your passage. We hope you'll join us!

If you were a part of our first fan appreciation cruise, I hope you'll post a comment here about your favorite Osmond cruise memory. :-)

The Andy Williams Christmas Extravaganza Starring The Osmonds

Hi everyone! It's your new blogger friend, Jimmy Osmond, again! ;-)

If you've been online today and have checked in with any of our social media or website, you've probably seen that the Andy Williams Christmas Extravaganza Starring The Osmonds is headed back to the United Kingdom again this December. Tony Denton Promotions made the announcement earlier today and we are all super excited. After we close the Andy Williams Christmas Extravaganza at the Andy Williams PAC in Branson (where it runs from November 1 - December 9), my brothers (Merrill Osmond and Jay Osmond) will be joined by the lovely Lennon Sisters for a few road dates in the United States (to be announced soon), and then Merrill, Jay and I head across the pond.

The U.K. version of the Andy Williams Christmas Extravaganza Starring The Osmonds will include Britain's Got Talent's ventriloquist, Steve Hewlett, one of the show's stand out singers, Charlie Green, along with the Moon River singers and dancers.

The Andy Williams Christmas Extravaganza Starring The Osmonds 12-date tour starts December 14 at Isle of Wight’s Shanklin Theatre and finishes December 30 at Newcastle’s City Hall. The Ticketmaster pre-sale starts tomorrow (April 14), and then goes on sale through other ticket agents starting this Friday, April 15. All of the details are on our website.

I love going back to the United Kingdom for Christmas. I've spent many Christmases in the U.K. and it's a blast that the Christmas show has gone over so well. It is a little surreal to me - who would have ever thought that 50 years after little Jimmy Osmond started on television's Andy Williams Show, I would be keeping Andy's Christmas tradition going...and it has been going since the 1960s!

I'm so grateful for everybody's support - especially from my brothers, Merrill and Jay Osmond.

Come and see us in the Andy Williams Christmas Extravaganza if you can! - Jimmy Osmond for details

Jimmy Osmond Presents - Osmonds TV

Hello everyone!

I am continually fascinated by the constant changes in technology, so with that in mind, I've been working with the great people at Atlys TV to bring a lot of Osmond memories to our web visitors. They have developed for us what is called Osmonds TV. Within that site you can view Osmonds on Demand - which includes all kinds of Osmond video footage. If you click on the "magazine" icon at the bottom right of the screen, you will be taken to our Osmond history and discography. There is really a lot of cool information within that site, and it is all connected to our website.

Because I'm excited about the programming that is continually being added to Osmonds TV, I thought I'd share it with you, just in case you weren't aware of it or haven't visited in awhile. It is kind of like looking through our old Osmond family scrapbooks and movies with us. :-)

I'd love to hear what you think of Osmonds TV, so drop a comment here and let me read what you think! - Jimmy Osmond

The Osmonds & more coming to Andy Williams PAC

Hi everyone!

As a theater owner, it is always exciting to get my new season of entertainment going. The Andy Williams Performing Arts Center in Branson, Missouri, opened the season last month with good friend to the Osmonds, illusionist Rick Thomas. Rick’s show really is something to see, so make sure you take it in the next time you are in Branson.

In addition to Rick Thomas’s show, our other featured shows this season include my own show – Andy Williams Moon River and Me Starring Jimmy Osmond – which opens April 28, with special guest, Britain's Got Talent singing sensation, Charlie Green, and the hilarious Chipper Lowell. In addition to my singing the hits of Andy Williams, my brother, Jay Osmond, will join me to sing some of our Osmond classic hits. I’m really excited to perform the Moon River and Me show again this year.

Classic group - The Lettermen - will once again be a season staple at the Andy Williams Performing Arts Center, progenitors of the astonishing full-band sound of “contemporary” a cappella group, Rockapella, appears June 13 – July 16, and the comic of James Gregory with Keith Alberstadt join our roster for November 3, 4 and 5. Of course, in the tradition of “Mr. Christmas/Andy Williams,” we have a fun Christmas season in store. Hallmark Presents Maxine’s Christmas Carol will run from November 1 – December 10, and the Christmas season tradition continues with The Andy Williams Christmas Extravaganza – featuring The Osmond Brothers, The Lennon Sisters, Illusionist Rick Thomas, the very talented Lennon granddaughters, the Andy Williams Ballroom Champions and the Moon River Band. Wow! that’s an extravaganza!

I’m also really excited about our Celebrity Weekends Series jam-packed with fantastic entertainers. We were thrilled “CMT Presents Jennifer Nettles with the Next Women of Country” appeared last Friday, and next up is the wonderful LeAnn Rimes April 29. Ray Stevens returns in May with Etta May, and the multi-talented Terry Fator is back for two shows in August. September will be exciting with the comedy of Southern Fried Chicks, Christian band Big Daddy Weave, and MJ Live – the Michael Jackson tribute concert from Las Vegas. Not to be outdone by September, October will have its own exciting lineup: funny man Bill Engvall (who saw him on Dancing With the Stars a few seasons back? Remember the seasons with Marie Osmond, and later, Donny Osmond? ;-). Also in October are legends Air Supply and then David Cassidy! We are pleased to once again welcome back to the Andy Williams PAC, country legend Loretta Lynn with EmiSunshine, and Jeanne Roberts – a tall speaker with a tall sense of humor - wraps up our October roster for the Celebrity Weekends Series.

Now, can you see why I’m so excited about the 2016 season at the Andy Williams Performing Arts Center & Theatre in Branson, Missouri? For show dates, tickets and information about our VIP Experience opportunities – check out, and I look forward to seeing you in Branson soon! – Jimmy Osmond

National Siblings Day - Osmond Style!

Hello everyone and happy National Siblings Day!

Thinking about my siblings on this special day designated for doing just that, brought to mind one of the ways I've found to demonstrate my love and appreciation for my great big family. We went from Father (George Osmond) and Mother (Olive Osmond) and the nine of Osmond out there have the current count? ;-)

The year 2014 saw a little milestone for me when I had my children's book, Jimmy Osmond's Awesome Possum Family Band, published by Regnery Kids. I've always loved to create characters and tell stories to my kids as they were growing up, so the Awesome Possum Family Band came about quite naturally.

If you've read the book (it isn't just for kids!), you'll see the possum family were numbered, just as we Osmonds numbered ourselves growing up. Oldest brother, Virl Osmond, is possum #1, Tom Osmond is possum #2, Alan Osmond - possum #3, Wayne Osmond - possum #3, Merrill Osmond - possum #5, Jay Osmond - possum #6, Donny Osmond - possum #7, Marie Osmond - possum #8, and I am possum #9 (Jimmy Osmond). As portrayed through the possums in my book, each of the Osmonds have different personalities that make up our ever-growing family...and I love every one of them!

So, happy National Siblings Day Osmonds - my brothers and sweet sister - and to all of the other siblings out there!

Moon River and Me…Jimmy Osmond

I hope everyone has enjoyed their Saturday!

I mentioned I’m currently in the United Kingdom promoting the upcoming tour of Moon River and Me. This show first debuted in 2015 at the Andy Williams Performing Arts Center & Theatre in Branson, Missouri. Moon River and Me pays tribute to the life, times and music of Andy Williams using video footage of Andy’s life, and the songs made famous by my mentor and friend.

In addition to Moon River and Me appearing select dates this April and May at the Andy Williams Performing Arts Center & Theatre, there will be road dates in both the United States and United Kingdom. The U.K. tour opens in Wolverhampton September 26, and plays for 27 dates ending with Woking October 30. To see all of the dates and venues for the U.K. tour of Moon River and Me Starring Jimmy Osmond, visit

This is my 50th anniversary in the entertainment business when I made my first debut on the Andy Williams Show at the age of three. From those early days, my family--the Osmonds--became a part of Andy’s legacy, and it is an honor to perform and take people back to an easier time as we remember the amazing music of Andy Williams (and me--Jimmy Osmond)!

Welcome to my new Jimmy Osmond blog!

Hello friends!

I've decided I'd like to start a Jimmy Osmond Blog to share my thoughts, news, and other fun things going on in my crazy life.

While I've been in the United Kingdom doing some promotion for my upcoming U.K. tour of the "Andy Williams Moon River and Me Show," my daughter, Sophia Osmond, has been busy working on a video with BYU's Vocal Point. They've created the Ultimate A Cappella Mashup: "25 Hits, 25 Years."

And did I mention that this new Brigham Young University video features my beautiful daughter, Sophia Osmond? Another really cool thing about Sophia's BYU video is that the Vocal Point director/arranger, McKay Crockett, is the son of Denny Crockett.

If the name Denny Crockett sounds familiar to you, it's because he was the musical director for "The Donny & Marie Show." And it means you have a pretty good memory! Ha, ha.

Multiple generations of Osmonds and Crocketts continue to collaborate!

Sophia Osmond, I'm so proud of you! And you, too, McKay Crockett!

Friends, I know you'll enjoy this...
